Our Pastors
Montell & Kristin Jordan are the founding and lead pastors of Master Peace Church in Dacula, GA. MPC is a House Church, one of the very first of its kind, created to serve in the virtual and developing meta-world space. The Jordan’s purpose is to serve God’s people; pastoring from the local house church and delivering the gospel from their living room to the global church at large, virtually, via streaming technology (phones, computers, smart TV’s, tablets, apps) sharing Christian ministry into living rooms all over the world. Their heartbeat is to see people come to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to see marriages and families restored through the power of God, and to equip people to become disciples of Christ to live offline what they experience online. Prior to pastoring, their history in the music business and entertainment industry as artist and manager has prepared them to reach those who may never attend a physical church location, yet still need to be covered and connected to Christ. Their influence and authenticity are a testimony to God’s restorative power in their marriage, music, and ministry journey.
Montell’s first musical offering, “This Is How We Do It,” was a breakout new jack-swing song that topped the Hot 100 for seven weeks and R&B charts for eight. Over his nearly twenty-year career in music, Jordan has released eight (8) studio albums, fourteen (14) singles, two (2) gospel projects, and is a Grammy nominated artist selling more than 10 million records worldwide. Additionally, he achieved five (5) Billboard #1 records, while individually selling more that 10 million records worldwide. “This Is How We Do It” is one of the top 100 party anthems of the last century. He garnered songwriter of the year awards, Grammy, Soul Train, and Dove Award nominations, owned a record label and sold-out major tour venues all over the world. Following years of awards, achievements and accolades that never seemed to satisfy, Montell learned that without music he’s a husband, a father, and a friend. He stepped away from the music business in 2011 entering fulltime ministry in search of significance over success, faith over fame, and marriage over music. “I had to learn who Montell was outside of music to determine that I make music and music doesn't make me.” In that time away, Montell was able to reevaluate his priorities and ultimately find his passion. This was found as he connected with his childhood faith and gift to love and lead people.
Montell began to realize the difference between gifting and calling. He was gifted to do music, but he was called (or purposed) to minister. Speaking, teaching, mentoring, counseling and writing are some of the many ways Jordan is fulfilling his purpose in ministry today. Montell is a sought-after voice of influence regarding diversity and inclusion and is an advocate to reconciling cultures to unite our nation. Jordan is a Champion Ambassador for Special Olympics North America, and as an executive pastor of music, marriage, and men’s ministry at Victory Church in Norcross, GA, he served more than 14,000 people from 140 nations around the world each weekend for the last decade. Montell is not only a musician and minister, but a voice of reconciliation for this generation and a pastor reaching unreachable people with untraditional methods.
Jordan has authored two books, his autobiography, “Becoming Unfamous” during the summer of 2016 and he and Kristin co-authored and released a marriage book in October 2017 titled, “This Is How We Do It! Making Your Marriage A Masterpeace.” Montell and Kristin have founded Marriage Masterpeace Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping public and high-profile marriages heal privately. MMRC (Marriage Masterpeace Retreat Center) seeks to help marriages all around the world by helping men and women reconcile with God and then to each other in efforts to eradicate divorce by taking the option off the table.
Montell’s and Kristin became marriage missionaries in Spring of 2020, just prior to the pandemic. It was during that season God spoke to them about pastoring a local church through virtual means for global impact and influence.
Montell has a heart for industry leaders, entertainers, athletes, musical peers, and fans who are not connected to God and need to be introduced to relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith is the reason he desires to share the good news of his journey with all who are willing to listen, be encouraged, and possibly transformed as he was. As lead pastors of MPC, the Jordans use world stages to create ministry platforms in efforts to share their faith so that others might come to salvation by knowing and being known by Jesus Christ.
Kristin’s early career background sources from extensive work in the entertainment industry, having over 18 years experience in the music business. She is a graduate of CSUF, and she managed and directed the careers of numerous multi-platinum recording artists, and has garnered songwriter of the year awards, Grammy, Soul Train and Dove Award nominations, owned her own record label and has sold millions of records globally, selling out major tour venues all over the world. She knows the business well, yet is committed to seeing God’s business of sharing the gospel to all nations remain a priority. She has been successful on both secular and sacred platforms throughout her musical journey, yet strives to live a life of simplicity, sincerity and sacrifice to show how significant a life committed to Jesus is.
In ministry, Kristin has served in missions in Managua, Nicaragua, Israel, and Rome, Italy. The secular music world has also become somewhat of a mission field, as there are countless opportunities to perform and share the gospel of Christ with unsaved concert goers all over the world who enjoy the timeless 90’s hit song, “This Is How We Do It” that she and Montell are still known for nearly a quarter of a century later.
In October 2017, Kristin co-authored This Is How We Do It! Making Your Marriage A Masterpeace with her husband. Today, they host marriage intensives and have hosted sold out marriage conferences for thousands of married couples and singles around the world in efforts to reach 1,000,000 marriages who are committed to taking divorce off the table. She has many resources available to serve husbands and wives who desire to see God work miracles in their marriage the way God did for hers, and her unique testimony of forgiveness and “staying through infidelity” in her marriage draws hearts from all walks of life to not only hear, but also experience her testimony. Her book, workbooks, DVD bundles (being used as a small group curriculum), podcasts, daily marriage devotionals, the montellandkristin app, social media platforms and web and television interviews are just a few ways Kristin’s story is being shared all over the world. Her use of biblical principles and practical wisdom when speaking, along with her transparent, shooting straight from the hip style delivery are a life changing experience. Ultimately, she wants to see people set free; she teaches from her life testimony and experiences to help people navigate their way through the joy, commitment, obstacles, tragedy, and triumphs of life.
